Nearest and Dearest
Getting married was the last piece of the puzzle for the Hepburn family so, naturally, Andrew and Christie wanted to include their whole tribe in their big day. Christie told us all about their family-focused wedding…

“Family has always been a priority for us - Andrew had a daughter when we met and I knew they’d both be part of my life forever. Since getting engaged we added our son, Luke, and daughter, Edyn Bella, to the tribe. Getting married meant we’d all have the same surname which was really important to us.

We planned our big day for August 2020 but shortly after, the country went into lockdown. We kept hope for our original date but eventually decided to reschedule for the following year.

Unfortunately, the first two venues we had our eye on didn’t work out. But actually, it felt like it was meant to be. Meldrum House Hotel was our ‘third time lucky’ and it was perfect.

So, we were married on 18 May 2021 and it was a dream! Obviously, family was an important part of our day. We had our parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos displayed, and even had our table names themed on family surnames going back three generations!

Reflecting on it all now, getting married during a pandemic was extremely eye-opening and made us really appreciate everything. It was so special marrying my soulmate and having our nearest and dearest there to witness it.â€
